Northern Lights stands among the most famous strains of all time, a pure indica cherished for its fast flowering, resinous buds and resilience during growth. An inbred descendant of original Afghani landrace strains. This strain has a pungently sweet earthy flavor with hints of citrus. Spicy aromas radiate from the crystal-coated buds, which sometimes reveal themselves in hues of purple. Northern Lights has given rise to famous hybrids like Shiva Skunk and Super Silver Haze.

White Widow is a hybrid strain, a cross between a Brazilian sativa landrace and a resin-heavy South Indian indica. An infamous name, as it has blessed every Dutch coffee shop menu since its birth in the 1990s. This strain gets its name from the fact that it is literally blanketed in white crystals. When it comes to smell, you can expect a citrus and peppery scent that is accompanied by a lemony aftertaste. White Widow’s genetics have given rise to many other legends like White Russian, White Rhino, and Blue Widow.
It’s been a full year since legalization, but I know many are still unsure. It’s a question that’s on all of our minds… where can I legally consume cannabis in Alberta? Let us tell you.
As cannabis fans, we’re sure you’ve heard plenty about terpenes and cannabinoids, but there are other components of the plant that aren’t talked about as often… lucky for you, today we’re talking all about flavonoids.
